• 5/5 from Jenny Chan, attended Feb 2024: If you like papercrafts you will enjoy this class. We learnt 4 traditional Japanese book binding techniques and took home 4 books we made. The covers can be also be later decorated with a variety of coloured paper. I walked away with some good practical skills I can easily replicate at home with a small amount of tools and paper.

However, I was disappointed in the quality of materials provided given the class cost $110 per person. We were given "cheap" paper to use, under the premise that we can then go off and create more high quality journals after the class. But I personally did the class so I could make these journals once off.

She obviously loves sharing her knowledge and created a relaxed and supportive environment for us all. I was glad I attended!

Michelle was great - she spent time up the front of the class to explain and demonstrate the skills that we were learning, and also spent time walking around the class to check on each person individually and answer any questions or provide guidance that was requested/needed. I am so proud of myself and the books that I created in this class

She was very interesting and her instructions were thorough. She attended to each student's needs and questions calmly as they arose. It was really nice to go to a course and have everything supplied for you and leave with a little packet of treasures you made. I will be looking on your website for further courses if this is one to go by. Great quality course. Thanks.

(To Michelle) I noticed not everybody made it through all 4 books. Please consider; providing less content or allowing more time. Overall I really enjoyed the course and highly recommend to others :)

All materials provided with a range of options to personalise the books was nice. Timing was a little tight for me as i was slower in making the books but michrlle had planned well to accommodate those who were faster so no one was waiting for others to finish, she always had something more that people could be working on. Overall, a lot of fun

The class introduced me to many new tools and techniques that I will absolutely use in the future. It was a little hard to keep up with the class’ pace, though, and a result I didn’t get to learn all four of the intended binding techniques. But it is great that we get all the notes from the class to use at home, and I look forward to making many more books thanks to what I’ve learnt from this class.
