What you'll do

Developped by Buddhist monks and samurai warlords, the 'Way of Tea' is encouraged through both slow, ritualized movement to relax our body and our mind, and then through the drinking of tea, it reminds us to enjoy life.
Your hostess has spent many years being trained to facilitate that same relaxation and feeling of pleasure. You are being offered much more than having delicious matcha tea. You and/or your precious guests are being offered honor, appreciation and care.
This experience is a great way to encounter a different culture and reconsider the true value of Japanese way of living.

I grew up in pottery town, learning about old techniques of tea bowl maker from my next door. I was fascinated watching it thrown. That was my first step into Tea world.
While I lived in Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan, I learned about kimono and tea ceremony.
I organised and run guesthouses(small tea house inns) and cafe in Kyoto.
Through this Tea ceremony, you will feel atomosphere changes when you are in meditation state, allow yourself relax and calm.
