We had a lot of fun learning about fused glass and how it is different to typical hobby glass. We got to pick our creatures and Sue was very helpful in guiding us to a successful outcome. In total we managed to make 5 creations over the course of one day. Sue then fired our pieces in the kiln and we got to pick them up a few days later. We absolutely love them and really enjoyed the class. Sue's husband Stuart was also great and provided a lovely morning tea and hot lunch. Highly recommend.

Your teacher
My artistic practice is focused on creating works in glass that are cut by hand and then fused and shaped using kilns and cold working methods. My love affair with glass began many years ago, making works in recreational classes. In 2016 I enrolled in a Visual Arts degree at the ANU majoring in glass which I completed in 2019. I enjoy making whimsical and playful pieces. However, I gain enormous satisfaction from teaching others about the mysteries of glass and how create either fun pieces or utilitarian pieces. For people who have a specific project in mind I am happy to tailor classes to suit. A great way for you to start is to enrol in a one day class that is conducted in my studio. Class sizes are restricted to no more than four people.
