Looking for unique things to do in Melbourne? Join this knife making workshop!
NDIS? Absolutely!
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the fascinating art of blacksmithing and create your very own utility knife using traditional techniques. You will be predominantly shaping your blade with a hammer, fire and an anvil.

Starting with the planning and design phase, you'll learn how to forge and shape the knife using a coke forge, hammer, anvil, and grinder. From forging the bevel to crafting the handle shape, you'll gain a deep understanding of the process.

Using mild steel, a more traditional material, you'll learn the art of hand-forging and the importance of choosing the right materials for your projects.

The class will run in a safe and supportive environment, where you'll have the opportunity to work with various tools and equipment. No prior experience is necessary, as our expert instructors will guide you every step of the way.

But wait, there's more! You will learn how to make a custom leather sheath for your knife. This additional skill will take your craftsmanship to the next level.

Whether you're looking for a one-time experience or want to dive into a new hobby, this workshop is the perfect place to start. You'll leave with not only a beautifully crafted utility knife but also a newfound appreciation for the art of blacksmithing.
