  • 5/5 from Emma Elliot, attended Sep 2026: Bec was a fantastic teacher, very knowledgeable and easy going. We learnt so much in one class - knife skills, how to layer flavours in a dish, making your own broths and cutting up a whole chicken to reduce waste and save money, cooking proteins properly. We learnt so many skills we can use at home - definitely worth the money!
  • 5/5 from Darcy, attended Aug 2026: We had such a great class with Bec! She was super knowledgeable and imparted some fantastic tips that we’ll take home with us. Delicious meal at the end too.
  • 5/5 from Sara Bahl, attended Jul 2026: What an amazing class! We learned so much. It was exactly what we were looking for - nothing overwhelming, covering all the basics one needs to organise household cooking whilst minimising costs. Could not recommend it more!!
  • 5/5 from Paul Gale, attended Jun 2026: Excellent course. Bec covers basic but fundamental things during the course that will enable a home cook to improve their results in the kitchen immediately. What I found very valuable were all the cooking tips Bec gave during our time together. These tips weren’t the sort you’d find in a cookbook but rather the tips and advice you’d get by ‘doing’ with a Chef. I can recommend this course to anyone wanting to improve their cooking skills.
  • 5/5 from Sheandra, attended May 2026: The class was fun and I learnt a lot about knife sharpening, types of knives, how to cut different ingredients, debone a chicken etc. Overall, it was a great experience!

  • 5/5 from Helen Szoke, attended Sep 2025: This was so good. Very informal but lots of great ideas as well as very good training in chopping and dicing and cooking protein! Chef Bec was incredibly generous with her time ensuring that she had answered all our questions! Three hours went like no time at all. Thanks for a great experience!
  • 5/5 from Michelle, attended Jun 2025: It was a really fun class and we learned a lot! Came as a group activity (great idea for a gift) and Bec had a wealth of knowledge and experience to share with us. From knife sharpening and knife skills right down to deboning a chicken, Bec was an engaging teacher, she had many tips and tricks up her sleeve and answered questions we didn't even know we had. We walked away with some life skills to put to practice. Thanks Bec!

I'm Bec, a chef from NZ but I have called Australia home for more than 20 years. I have been professionally cooking for over 25 years, I completed my City & Guilds Diploma Of Culinary Arts in 1999. I've travelled ALL around Australia in a 1974 Kombi Van for over 8.5 years, working as a chef and fixing the car on my time off! While in Broome W.A I started designing chef uniforms and grew the business for the last 10 years while cheffing on the side until I opened my shop - Ready2Rock Hospitality Store.
I'm passionate about cooking and love teaching people the skills I learnt as a chef. I have cooked in many high-end establishments, and I want to help you improve your home cooking, teaching you the basics & fundamentals of cookery, which advances all aspects of your home cooking! Having my hospitality store, I now have a great set-up to enable me to share my craft and teach others.
