  • 5/5 from Abbey Thorpe, attended Sep 2026: Michelle was great and was able to keep up with where everyone was in the process of making their journal. She had no problem repeating instructions if people needed to hear them again and I could tell she was extremely passionate about teaching the class.
  • 5/5 from Andrea Lewis, attended Jun 2025: Great class. Super knowledgeable instructor. I loved the freedom to pick colours of leather and thread so the journal was unique to me and my style.
  • 5/5 from Anne Saletti-Hayes, attended Jun 2024: it was great fun and informative. would highly recommend for anyone who loves their journals and would like to be able to make them themselves.
  • 5/5 from Winter Stagg, attended Mar 2023: Wow! So much fun! Just an absolute joy! The teacher was informative and very precise, but had a way about her that just made everything easy and simple… I must have asked for help a dozen times or more and all the other students would organise materials for each other, ask the question again if the teacher didn’t hear it, I never felt embarrassed or singled out at all. It was a real community vibe in a professional class. I haven’t fully finished my journal as I haven’t decided on my edge design, but you can see clearly from the photo this is THE workshop for soft leather (or synthetic) journal making!
  • 5/5 from Christina Macdonald, attended Mar 2023: A wonderful evening learning the art of leather making. We were given clear, well communicated instructions and feedback in a fun environment. We learned the step by step process of journal binding before creating our own special leather journal. 5/5 Recommend.
  • 5/5 from Claire Hipkins, attended Mar 2023: The venue was utterly beautiful, clean, well kept. The teacher was patient, kind and understanding, even with my 13 year old. The project fitted perfectly in the time slot. It was a really truly great class.
  • 5/5 from Nathan Bailey, attended Jul 2022: Michelle is a fantastic teacher, I *really* appreciate the way she "streamed" the class, showing people who were faster how to do something and then repeating it for the people who were a bit slower. I think this is a brilliant approach for keeping everyone engaged regardless of their familiarity with the needed techniques. And for those of us who needed a bit of extra help, she was very happy to explain or show us what to do on a 1-on-1 basis. I also appreciated the many options she provided for us in terms of materials, meaning our final product was very specific to each of us; and also teaching us where to get those materials (and the necessary tools) if we wanted to continue to make journals ourselves afterwards. The venue is a delightful space for creative adventures, a hidden little gem upstairs in a side-street of Collingwood! Loved it and the people there are creating great experiences for fun and learning. It was a great afternoon, I enjoyed learning, others in the class were friendly and helpful and I really appreciate feeling like I could do this again on my own.
  • 5/5 from Christine Maclennan, attended Jul 2022: This workshop was so much fun. Michelle was a great instructor, with clear direction and plenty of individual help when needed. The way the workshop was set up allowed for some customisation of our leather journals, which was great. Super happy with the end product and will definitely be looking to do more bookbinding and other paper-based workshops with Michelle in the future.
  • 5/5 from Kristofora, attended Jul 2022: The venue was amazing! Great space felt super comfortable! Our teacher was also so lovely it was great that she had everyone learning at our own pace which was very relaxing, as if anyone was behind a step they didn't have to stress about catching up quickly!
  • 5/5 from Anna Maree, attended Jul 2022: Michelle was an amazing teacher, looking forward to more classes with her. Great venue and live the dog.
  • 5/5 from Julius Mendoza, attended May 2022: Awesome vibe and really fun workshop. Mitch was great and really patient with us. 100% would recommend
  • 5/5 from David Kenihan, attended Jan 2022: Michelle was terrific. I feel two sessions would be better - I was a bit rubbish at it though, and would have appreciated another attempt under ''adult supervision''.
  • 5/5 from Emma Morris, attended Jan 2022: This class was fun, but the location is very warm, and when all the fans are on it can be difficult to hear. I really enjoyed the hands on learning though!
  • 5/5 from Sara Greenwood, attended Jan 2021: Teacher was awesome - really friendly and made sure everyone had the support they needed and the pace was perfect.
  • 5/5 from Damien Farrell, attended Jan 2020: Really enjoyed the class. The class wasnt too big and everyone was nice and friendly. The materials and teaching was excellent and the teacher was very helpful. Simple instructions and a great environment to learn a new skill.
  • 5/5 from Liz Smith, attended Jan 2020: Teacher was fantastic. Patient, clear and positive. Venue might have had better lighting for close work.
