Hi, my name is Matthew, welcome to my art classes where I teach the foundations of drawing and painting.

A little about me: I have a Master of Fine Arts, having studied 7 years in Europe. I specialise in industrial and interior design and I understand the importance of developing one’s spatial intelligence. It helps us to see more and to create works with lasting impact.

In my classes, I aim to bring out the artist in everyone and will show you how to create your masterpiece. My classes are held in my private and cozy studio and all materials are included. Private lessons are also available.

My classes are tailored to teenagers, young adults and adults who want to develop and improve on their artistic abilities. As a Fine Arts graduate, I can also help you prepare for university or further artistic study.

Upon arriving to Matthew's studio and meeting him, it was obvious that he was very qualified and well-equipped teacher. I was made to feel very welcome, and the studio is lovely and quite. Matthew has a very thorough approach with his teaching method which reflects his passion for what he does.
I feel that I was learning a good balance of practical skills and theory. Matthew supplies all your needs and considers your goals as a student.

The teacher Matthew was great very instructive in explaining the introduction to still life.
The venue was delightful - a well appointed studio!
I learnt perspective in layout and measurement a necessity when wanting to draw/paint freely.
Next shading, I feel will add definition.
I look forward to the next class - although will practice as my free day being Friday being booked for a couple of weeks.

The lesson with Matthew was both very educational and fun. As someone with very little artistic ability, his teachings were very clear and I was able to improve my drawings quite substantially in a short amount of time. Would definitely recommend.
