Meet Corinne Snare

By Jana Lepojevic

Corinne Snare’s passion for jewellery making all started when she stumbled upon some wire in art class and quickly had a bunch of jewellery to show for it. These humble beginnings, combined with a lifelong passion for design and three-dimensional art forms, meant that falling into craft came naturally for her.

Over two decades later, Corinne is still making jewellery but nothing compares to the joy she feels when teaching others how fulfilling craft can be. Just as she stumbled on jewellery making, teaching was also an unexpected turn in her path when she was asked to fill in for some casual classes and found the experience super rewarding.

This serendipity led Corinne to combine her two passions of making and teaching and open her very own warm and inviting creative studio. Nestled in the scenic Southern Highlands of NSW, you’ll find her cosy space donned with twinkling fairy lights and filled with the comforting aroma of freshly brewed tea and coffee. Its purpose? To offer a welcoming space for anyone to learn how to make stunning silver jewellery and colourful stained glass art.

When I'm making jewellery…

“I get in the zone and it just flows. What I love about jewellery is the balance between creativity and problem-solving and how both combined lead to the desired result.”

Step inside my studio and you'll find…

“Twinkling fairy lights, lots of colour, a cosy vibe, snacks and a cup of tea (or coffee) ready to help get you inspired.”

I show love to the planet by…

“Using recycled materials, making minimal waste, and melting down any offcuts to make use of every small bit of this precious material.”

Getting creative will help you…

“Connect with others, feel empowered and like you are all equal in the process of learning. Students from the age of 11 to those in their 70s can chat and share their experience and enjoyment of this new craft.”

I love supporting local…

“I am always recommending other creators and teachers as the more of us there are getting away from mass production, the more there are people out there to appreciate the time, love and energy that goes into the making of a piece.”

You'll leave my workshop feeling…

“Inspired, accomplished and empowered!”
