How to Hold a Henna Cone and Practise Your Strokes on Paper
Before touching skin, you'll warm up with guided henna drills on practice sheets. Learn how to hold the cone, control pressure, and draw clean lines, dots, teardrops and swirls. Mehsooq Henna's step-by-step approach builds your confidence first, so you're ready to design real motifs.
Design Your Own Henna
Put your new skills together and create a design to wear home. Using our motif reference sheets for inspiration, you'll combine florals, leaves, vines and dots into your own pattern, like a flower on the hand with a trailing vine and wrist wrap. We'll guide you through spacing, flow and fixing small slips, then finish with aftercare tips so your stain develops dark and lasts. Taught by Mehsooq Henna.
Wear Your Design Home
You'll leave with your own henna design, ready to show off. We'll finish with simple aftercare so your stain develops rich and lasts: how long to leave the paste on, how to protect it, and what to avoid in the first 24 hours. Your design will darken to a deep reddish-brown over a day or two and typically fades over one to two weeks.
