I previously did the perfume workshop and wanted to see how the solid perfume was done. Also make another personal scent again
Our teacher was lovely. She was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything in depth but not overloaded as this is quite a science.
We had plenty of time to explore and create our own personal scented perfume to take home.

Attended the solid perfume making workshop as a gift to a friend and we loved it. It was so fun learning about how perfumes are made and building our own scents! Especially love how they save our scent and we have the choice of recreating it with other forms like candles and perfume (spray version). We definitely would go back again. The instructors were friendly and knowledgeable and provided clear instructions.

Organised this for a friend’s birthday. Something unique and extravagant that we had never tried before. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and the resources were well set up so it was very easy for us beginners. I didn’t expect to learn so much about the science of perfumery in addition to having access to beautiful natural ingredients. This particular workshop was a bit pricier compared to others offered by Class Bento. But overall we are obsessed with our new perfumes !

What an amazing experience my friend and I had learning the art of creating perfume. Upon entering, it is like walking into a French Perfumery. Everything was organised and our teacher articulated instructions well. It’s an exceptional class to involve yourself in and my friend and I will be back with our husband’s to allow them to create their very own scent as well.

honestly, i think they may have bitten of more than they can chew. a large class and only one teacher. we didn't really learn anything about perfumery i don't know about base notes, middle notes or top notes. and i'm equally confused by candle making all we really did was scramble for scents from an admittedly extraordinary stack of extracts and essential oils, got told how many drops of what to put in, then poured pre heated wax over it all and that was that.
i have no idea what temperature it was or what it was made of or how to create a balanced perfume. the space is BEAUTIFUL and the spread of aromas is insane, over 100, but there just wasn't any time to learn or really ask questions. i think this would be absolutely a perfect class if it had fewer students and a solid educational platform for how perfumes are created and/or how candles should be made.

this would be a really good way to do an office bonding session or a family activity i guess i just had higher expectations for the price. if you're spending $200 on one candle, you want to walk away with the knowledge to recreate it.
lovely teacher, theres just no way one person can teach that many students in any detail.

The teacher was excellent and well informed. Everything was provided to make your own individual scent. The candles were beautifully made with soy wax and it is a great gift idea.

The teacher was lovely! Knowledgeable, approachable and amiable. The room was impeccable, with all equipment & products well placed and easy to see.
I very much enjoyed the whole experience other than struggling a little with the odour in the room. I recommend that people who are sensitive to smell regularly go outside for fresh air.
I love the candle that my teacher helped me create exactly how I imagined. Thank you! A well worth course and excellent gift idea.

Thisis a unique class where you will bring together scents of your choosing to form the scent of your candle. Our French instructor was very informative with her chemistry and perfume background. You will take home a lovely boxed candle.

We had loads of fun sniffing things we had heard of AND things we hadn’t, testing out combinations and ratios, and thinking about the different notes we wanted in our home.
Led by a perfumier trained in France, we felt as though we were in excellent hands!

Very detailed instructions about how to create your own perfume. Loved going around smelling all the different scents and working through combining them. Very happy with the scent I created. The solid perfume was set in a lovely metal box.

The overall experience was good, finding the venue and parking was a bit difficult but once inside the studio was beautiful.
The information portion was thorough though a bit redundant at times, but I understand it’s to avoid misunderstandings no matter how simple it may seem. My favourite part was being able to smell the scents and decide which ones will be part of my formula, though this part felt a little rushed despite us finishing 20 minutes early. Overall I did enjoy the experience and like having a solid perfume at the end of it.

The teachers and assistant were friendly and approachable. I appreciate the wide range of scents we were able to smell and choose from to create our own perfume. Each of these scents has the top / middle / base note labelled on their bottles which help beginner like me to differentiate. I definitely like it that we were given sufficient time to create and bring home a 50ml perfume. The environment was pleasant and conducive for a workshop. I also like the idea that we were to start thinking of a theme for our perfume which would help to guide our design in the session.

From start to finish the whole experience at Metascent was incredible. Situated in a beautiful space you are warmly welcomed as your senses are invigorated by all the varying scents. The class was exciting, informative and a lot of fun. My partner and I have already decided this will be a yearly workshop for us and I can’t wait to come back.

For the price of most bottles of perfume you get this amazing curated experience and a bottle of perfume tailored specifically to you. This class was absolutely fantastic and the space is stunningly beautiful. The teachers where informative and helpful in creating our own fragrances. Offering you there advice and expertise when the sheer number of options seems like too much. My partner and I will be definitely coming back when we need our next bottle of perfume. 10/10 would recommend.

WOW This was exceptional. Beautiful venue with a stunning fit out. When we first arrived I worried that my 12-year-old would be out of their depth, but the instructor was fantastic and catered so well to everyone's individual needs in a diverse age range. The instructor had such great knowledge and was delightful. Came away with the most beautiful product, even with a personalised label. We will definitely go back again. Highly recommended!

Yen, one of the founders of Metascent, guided us through the class today. I created a citrusy herbal scent that was very calming and soothing. There was enough solid perfume to fill an extra lip balm container. They know just what to add to balance and enhance the fragrance you’ve made. Very enjoyable.

I chose the same fragrances I used for the morning candle making class because I love it so much. After trying some of the more citrusy scents like orange top and pamplamer which is derived from a sweet pomelo blend I learned, I might attempt a citrus tone for the solid perfume class next weekend. But then again I don’t want to end up smelling like a kitchen antibacterial spray? Bring on the romance, imagination and creativity of the next perfume class!

Souade was very knowledgeable and knew just what to add to your scent to elevate it to another level. It was an adventure for the senses trying out all the different fragrances, absolute bliss and joy for the nostrils, mind and soul dare I say. You come away with your signature scented candle. Smells like heaven. Just so wonderful.

This class was amazing. The team at Metascent were so friendly and knowlegbable about everything perfume. We made our own personalised perfumes which are presented so beautifully. The surrounding and shop is also stunning. Would really recommend going.
