Internationally acclaimed and celebrated local artist, Mick Ashley, has spent the last ten years designing, sketching, painting, digitally drawing and exhibiting his works in Canberra, across the region and around the world. In addition, Mick does art classes for novices or those that like to be challenged. His latest venture involves finger painting classes for grown-ups and it goes from strength to strength.

Highly recommend this class! Mick facilitated a finger painting class for our group of eight and we had a fantastic time! The paint and food tables were set up and ready when we arrived, class format was laid back and Mick was an great teacher- allowing us time to paint, eat, drink, chat and take photos.

Mick made our hens party very enjoyable! Great tunes, drinks and snacks combined with a variety of painting like we’d never done before. Loved the way the event was finished with our final artworks. It was great to see the creativity in the group. Highly recommend finger painting with Mick!

Mick is fantastic. He really engaged our group of 11 well. We had a Hen's Day and Mick provided lovely snacks and great drinks, with music in the background, it was a great atmosphere and everyone had fun. The location at Ainslie Arts Centre was excellent, plenty of room and easy to find. This was a great activity and would also really suit any company/team event, group of friends etc. Highly recommended.

Mick was great at helping us loosen up & let go of our awkwardness. Also very inspiring & encouraging. The fabulous spotify playlist also really helped.

I really enjoyed exploring an artistic side I was forced to abandon in year 11 (over 30 years ago) due to a clash between Economics and Art. Although I am sure my parents were right, i'd never be an artist, it was no doubt clear i'd never be an economist either.

I loved this experience & will definitely recommend to others.

I purchased as Xmas gift for husband. He loved it! Mick (teacher) was very encouraging. Hubby is colour blind and doesn’t do much in the way of creative art. He found it relaxing and lots of fun, using the paints and his hands as the tools. Highly recommend
