Recent reviews of Mindful Calligraphy Workshop for Beginners
5/5 from Vincent Tu, attended Jun 2026: We had our instructor Christine for this workshop and my partner and I enjoyed it to celebrate our anniversary. Highly recommended!
5/5 from Mohammad Zahedi, attended Apr 2026: Excellent calligraphy class where the basics were taught by a lovely, patient, easy to work with teacher, who took time to explain theory and practise making this a very mindful, meditative experience. The teacher went above and beyond to make this an excellent experience for my wife and I. We will be coming back for more! Thank you.
4/5 from Benita Joy, attended Apr 2026: I was lucky enough to be the only student in the class. My teacher was very patient and had a lot of encouragement and kind words, even where I thought my strokes were not very good. She very patiently taught the basic strokes and how to hold the brush etc. it was quite challenging to get everything right and she was happy to slow down and demonstrate until I had a better technique. This meant we ran out of time a bit and honestly I think I would prefer to pay more and have a 2 hour class so I could choose a more meaningful word to write beautifully and to hear a little more history and techniques., and interesting facts like about the smell of the ink etc. I left with my practice paper and a beautiful special paper with my word 'passion' that I wrote in the class. I spent the afternoon (after buying some supplies) practicing my passion word to get better at it. I did really enjoy this experience.
