In this art class, we will be creating mandalas with gel pens. You will take away techniques that you can easily replicate at home.
A mandala is a complex abstract design that is usually circular. In fact, "mandala" is a Sanskrit word that means "circle". Mandalas generally have one identifiable centre point, from which emanates an array of symbols, shapes, and forms.
In essence, mandalas represent the connection between our inner worlds and outer reality. Designing your own mandalas can be both inspirational and therapeutic.
During the class, Yumi will guide you through this technique of mindfulness in art, with soothing background sounds to add to your therapeutic experience.
You will find an interesting experience where your heart and mind are reflected in the dots. Watch as your personal pattern forms before you. This is a wonderful, calming art class for adults, teens and older children.
