Welcome to my studio! I’m a potter, recovering non-perfectionist, mother of three amazing young men (plus one husband and two overly affectionate small dogs), and the heart behind Minky’s Pottery in the beautiful Peel Region of WA.Years ago, I fell in love with clay before swapping my wheel for a life of deserts, oceans, packed boxes and the beautiful chaos of raising boys. Those adventures taught me the value of real connection, and returning to pottery feels like a blessed second chance to share the joy of shaping clay. Every piece I make - and every workshop I host - is an invitation to slow down, smile and experience the calming, creative magic of clay.My cozy home studio is a place where slippers are welcome and a cuppa is always brewing, offering intimate workshops all about joy, creativity, and making beautiful memories. Whether you’re a complete beginner or just need a reminder of which end of the clay to squish, come ready to laugh, get messy and create something worth keeping.This is your permission slip to switch off and make something with your hands. I’ll supply the wine and cheeseboard!No clay experience? Perfect. My workshops are designed for total beginners, with step-by-step guidance along the way. If you’re a more experienced potter, go for it!It’s relaxed, fun and capped numbers, so you get all the support you need.All materials are included — clay, tools, glaze, and firings.
