Hi, I am Laura, the creative mind behind Ekzabara Soul Art. Laura is my name and Ekzabara is like my soul's signature. Originally from Italy, I got into art thanks to a typical Italian upbringing that loved creativity. I also lived in Germany, living in both in Italy and Germany, I've been fortunate t0 absorb diverse cultural influences that now reflect in my art. About seventeen years ago I embarked on a new chapter by immigrating back to Australia. I am saying back because I was born here but my parents decided to return to Italy.

Art started off as a fun hobby when I was younger, but life got busy(mum of 3 children now adults) I had to take a break from the canvas. It wasn't until my mid -40s, during some very tough times, that art became my guiding light. Now, it's more than just a hobby; it's my fulltime job. it's a way to express myself, and something I love sharing with others.
Whether it's paintings, sculptures or functional art, I'm all about bringing a sense of wonder, calm, serenity and joy.

My art is all about celebrating the beauty of nature. I use a mix of natural and acquired materials, like shells dried flowers, crystals and more. I love being spontaneous, letting the artwork evolve as I go. Using various mixed media such as acrylic paint, inks, resin, and mica powders allows me to experiment and bring my ideas to life in a dynamic and organic way. In my artwork, you'll find recurring themes that reflect my deep connection to the elements and the universe. One predominant motif is my love for the ocean, which often take center stage in my seascapes. That is why I offer hands on courses to provide participants with a unique opportunity to explore their artistic potential and create beautiful pieces in a supportive and interactive environment.
