Q: Do I need any pottery or painting experience?
No experience is required. This workshop is beginner-friendly and guided step-by-step by experienced ceramic teachers in a calm, supportive environment.
Q: What will I make during the workshop?
You’ll create one ceramic piece, choosing between a tumbler or dip bowl, which you’ll then decorate using underglaze paints.
Q: Can I make more than one piece?
Each ticket includes firing and glazing for one item only. If you’d like to keep additional pieces, they can be added on the day for $30 per item, which covers firing and glazing.
Q: How long does the workshop run?
We have two Paint & Make sessions duration options; Express: 1 hour 45 minutes and Mindful: 2 hours and 30 minutes. Each class is designed allowing time to create, paint and refine your piece.
Q: What’s included in my ticket?
All clay, tools, underglaze paints and materials are provided, along with expert facilitation and professional firing and clear glazing of your piece at our Fremantle studio.
Q: What glazing finish will my piece have?
After the workshop, your piece will be finished with a clear glaze to seal and protect your painted design.
Q: When will my pottery be ready?
Finished pieces are fired and glazed with a 6–8 week turnaround. You’ll be notified when your piece is ready for collection.
Q: Where do I collect my finished piece?
All pieces are collected from our Fremantle studio. Collection must occur within 4 weeks of notification (12 weeks following your workshop). We don’t offer postage.
Q: Are drinks included?
Tea, coffee and soda stream MYO station. Option to upgrade to Matcha on Arrival. BYO drinks welcome (18+). Happy Hub Collective does not sell or supply alcohol. Wine glasses available.
Q: Is this a wheel-throwing class?
No - this is a hand-building and pottery painting workshop, not wheel throwing.
Q: What if my piece breaks during firing?
Ceramics can be unpredictable, and occasional kiln breakages do occur. While rare, this is a natural part of the ceramic process. No refund is offered unless the breakage is something that happens outside the kiln by our team.
Q: Is this suitable for groups or private events?
Yes. This workshop is popular for dates, birthdays, hens parties, team-building and corporate wellbeing events. Private and mobile bookings are available on request.
