Paint and Spin Wheel Throwing Class

Discover the world of wheel throwing in our welcoming and intimate paint and spin class in Tamborine Mountain.

In this class, designed specifically for beginners, you will learn the basics of wheel throwing, create two beautiful vessels and paint them with underglazes.

Our experienced teacher, Dyllan, will guide you through each step, from throwing clay to painting and provide hands-on instructions to bring your clay to life. You'll have the opportunity to practise various techniques and methods while enjoying the relaxing rhythm of the spinning wheel.

One unique aspect of this class is that as the wheel spins, you will be able to paint your pots using our selection of vibrant (Coyote) underglazes. This allows you to express your creativity and give your creations a personal touch. This class is great for families, friends, and kids.

Once you've completed your vessels, our skilled teachers will add a translucent glaze to make them food safe and dishwasher safe, ready to be picked up within 3-4 weeks.

At Clay Temple, we believe in providing a nurturing environment for our students. That's why our wheel throwing classes are small, with only six students at a time, ensuring you receive personalised attention and guidance.

By the end, you can take your handmade pottery home, as well as some new foundational ceramic skills!
