What you'll do

Discover the wide world of scents at this perfume making workshop in Kensington Park! You'll learn all about what elements go into a completed perfume and create and blend a scent that you connect with and that is uniquely yours.

As you enjoy a glass of champagne - or juice/tea if you prefer - your expert instructor will show you smelling techniques and tips for how to blend different scents together. You don't need any experience at all to attend this workshop and create a lovely scent all your own.

Whether you want to work exclusively with natural scents such as essential oils, or incorporate more man-made fragrance elements, you'll have over 100 perfumery materials to choose from. Your instructor will be able to help you find exactly what you want.

You will leave this perfumery class with a 30mL bottle of eau de parfum you made yourself! You'll also get to give it a special name, and Red Rosie will keep your formula on file so you can re-order it whenever you like. This workshop is a great opportunity to treat yourself to a special day of pampering, and also makes a great choice for birthday and hens parties.

It was difficult to think of a name for the perfume, so a tip if you want to do this workshop, think of a name for your perfume beforehand. Also, very useful to think of your favorite perfumes and check the recommended website before the workshop. I am sure you will enjoy this experience!

We got to put our nose to work at full capacity for the furst time which is a unique experience. Also all the weighing and measuring actually brings me back to chemistry 101 at uni. So that's reminiscing. The sweets the drinks the music were great. I would recommend any of my friends to go and have a try if they're into scents and perfumes. The reason for me to want to visit this studio is because there was a passion fruit perfume from the Body Shop years ago that I really want to replicate (because they went out of production). However, unfortunately, the passionfruit accord is not as sweet and sour (fruity) as I like it to be so I changed my mind and made something different. Though it turned out well so I'm happy ️ And I know the studio already had a gazillion scents, but I just want to add in Magnolia if that's possible because it's a pleasant floral scent that people might enjoy :D Alright, that's all. Hopefully my feedback is constructive. Thank you for the lovely activities.

The studio and class were set up very well and I enjoyed sniffing like a bloodhound the eclectic mix of scents available to us. Honestly think this whole experience was a steal! To craft a perfume, have an expert on hand guide us and then be able to reorder again at a very reasonable price... would love to come again! I would say the only thing that I didn't quite follow along well with and likely due to my tardiness on the day, was how the base/middle/top notes were organised on the table. I knew they were organised into 'categories' like woody, floral etc. but it was not very clear to me which were base notes. Perhaps if they were labelled on the sheet, that would make it a lot clearer! But very minor nitpick! Loved it overall!

It definitely helps to know what you like and maybe have a rough goal. But there is plenty of time to explore and play around with scents and combinations. The teacher is so knowledgeable and really made the perfume making process less intimidating. She has an amazing sense of discernment for fragrance. Especially, considering she was smelling many different people's combinations and she still gave great advice.

She is very experienced and which was very visible in the way she talked. It was fun experimenting with different scents and finding the right ones. I did almost 3 test samples before we finalised the final scent, the teacher also gave very helpful suggestions to make it better. It's a very good experience to try.

From the moment I arrived, the host was incredibly welcoming, friendly and made everyone feel comfortable and included. The workshop was fun, interactive, and well organised. The guidance throughout the session was excellent, making the process easy and enjoyable, even for someone with no previous experience. I loved having the opportunity to create my own signature scent and take it home. It was such a unique and memorable experience. I highly recommend this class to anyone who loves perfumes or is looking for a fun and creative activity. I will definitely attend again and will be bringing my friends and clients with me.
