Learn how to take great photos on manual mode in this beginner-friendly photography class in Canberra!

Over three hours, you will walk around many photogenic locations in Canberra's city centre. During this time you will be guided on how to take great photographs with the help of your teacher. Your teacher is an award-winning commercial photographer with over 30 years of experience in the industry.

This class is designed to improve your creative eye, understand light and train you on how to stop using auto mode. There’s a keen focus on lighting and composition to help transform your photos from bland to grand, while still keeping things simple.

  • Exposure control
  • Focus control
  • Fill flash
  • ISO
  • Colour control

This top-quality class runs in small groups of eight or less so you'll receive lots of one on one help to get out of auto mode. You'll walk away keen to put your new photography skills to the test!

What to bring
  • An external flash if your camera does not have an inbuilt one
  • Camera manual downloaded on your phone or hard copy if handy
  • Film or digital camera of which you have a basic working knowledge and your camera manual (if you are using film, please let us know ahead of time)
  • One empty 4GB or larger memory card or 2 x 36 roll of film
  • Fully charged battery
  • Your booking confirmation (on your phone or printed out)
Suitable for

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 14 years old). Adult accompaniment is not required.
