About the Artist
My name is Camila, I am an artist with a diverse background in developing my work across various platforms and locations. Over recent years, I have collaborated with organisations such as Yarra Tram, The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) and Space2b Social Design, to showcase my art in the streets of Melbourne. From 31 January to 31 May 2023, I had the distinguished honour of being selected as the featured artist for the Yarra Tram, allowing my artwork to travel throughout the city. The theme of my work focused on empowered women. I have engaged in live painting at the “Women Deliver” conference at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Attendees contributed messages of solidarity and sisterhood to the piece, which is now proudly displayed at The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH).
In partnership with Space2b, we welcome you to join this fun and colourful painting workshop, to learn basic portrait painting techniques, along with having fun and connecting with the community.
