What you'll do
In light of the government regulations as of 31st Jan, we will require proof of vaccination from all class participants over the age of 16.
Looking for fun kids activities these Perth school holidays? Explore the beautiful art of pottery during this fun, creative and slightly messy workshop.
Presented by Not Yet Perfect in the beautiful, light-filled, Heathcote ceramics studio, kids will discover how pottery is created from start to finish.
During this relaxing workshop, kids can expect to learn a complete set of wheel working skills, including:
- The basics of using the pottery wheel
- Preparing the clay before turning on the wheel
- Centering the clay on the wheel
- How to create different shapes on the wheel
No prior experience necessary and beginners are very welcome! All materials are provided, so kids just need to come along with an open mind and be ready to get their hands dirty.
Please note: Ceramic pieces will be ready a maximum of eight weeks max after the workshop and you will be notified via text.
Terms and Conditions:
Tickets and refunds
Please select carefully when choosing your workshop date and time. We do not refund or reschedule workshop bookings. If you are unable to attend a workshop, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person.
Firing
If requested for, all pieces made will be fired and glazed and ready for pickup a minimum of eight weeks after the workshop date. All participants will be notified via text when items are ready for pickup.
A firing fee of $15 per piece paid during your workshop covers the trimming process, glazing of your works and two kiln firings.
Pottery breakage
In the unfortunate case where your pottery breaks or cracks in the kiln, Not Yet Perfect do not offer refunds, as this is the nature of the firing process- pottery is a beautiful yet delicate process.
While we take the utmost care to ensure all works are delivered in the best conditions, in the case were any ceramics breaks due to mishandling, you will be contacted by one of our team and a full refund of your firing fee will be offered.

What you'll get
- All materials needed including stoneware clay and wooden and plastic pottery tools.
- One fired and glazed ceramics piece to take home a few weeks after the workshop.
What to bring
Apron or towel, all materials and equipment provided in class.
Suitable for
Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 8 years old). Adult accompaniment is not required.
