We started by tracing a design of our choice onto either a cutting board or hat, then used a pyrography pen to burn the design into the surface. I’m definitely not the most artistically talented person, but the process was surprisingly easy — and very cathartic! I was really happy with how my cutting board turned out, and I’m already keen to come back and make the hat next time. The host was absolutely lovely — warm, friendly and incredibly helpful. There were wine, cheese, crackers, biscuits and fruit, plus plenty of soft drinks for us non-drinkers, which I really appreciated. The studio itself is also fantastic, surrounded by all the amazing resin and other artworks they create and teach. A perfect activity for a rainy night. Five stars — no complaints at all!

I would suggest having an idea of what you want to do before going to cut out some of the setup time as she will gladly print designs for you to try but I had no idea what I wanted and left feeling very accomplished regardless.
