Recent reviews of Relaxed Pace Art Class

  • 4/5 from Kathleen Ryan, attended Sep 2026: Caroline was lovely and even though my oil painting was awful I really enjoyed the class and am looking forward to the next one
  • 5/5 from Emma Beckwith, attended Aug 2026: The teacher picked an awesome picture for us to paint with some really beautiful colours and taught us some super helpful tips for perspective and contrast. We all made an oil painting that looked quite intricate despite at least my own total lack of experience-a far cry from some of the 2D looking garbage you find yourself doing at a paint and sip. It was a small class and relaxed environment, Ill definitely be returning as a regular.
  • 5/5 from Angela Boreham, attended Aug 2026: Teacher was really helpful, class was well organised.
  • 5/5 from Fiona Vink, attended Apr 2026: We had a great time at our class this week!
  • 5/5 from Jenny Adams, attended Apr 2026: Class was fantastic, Caroline was lovely. Very patient and friendly. Other participants were also very friendly. We had a great laugh. I would thoroughly recommend.
  • 5/5 from Therese Verma, attended Apr 2026: Carolyn is wonderful, we did a great painting and the class was fantastic
  • 5/5 from Lisa Skinner, attended Apr 2026: Very relaxed and welcoming. Caroline knowledgeable and encouraging!
  • 5/5 from Andrea Wild, attended Mar 2026: A lovely, relaxing class complete with cold drinks, hot drinks, lamingtons and some success at my first oil painting!
  • 5/5 from Therese Verma, attended Mar 2026: Was such a great class with Carolyn, it was relaxed but so informative. I was very happy with my first use of oil paints. I will be attending future classes.
  • 5/5 from Amy Roknic, attended Jan 2026: I did the intro course a year ago and hadn't done any painting since. This was a nice way to get back into it. Will definitely go again.
  • 5/5 from Kaley Willmott, attended Dec 2025: Caroline was clear with instructions and was happy to help individually as needed throughout the class. I joined the class remotely, and Caroline set up 3 cameras to help this be a seamless experience. Came out with a great christmas wreath, despite little experience.

I am an artist and art teacher based in Canberra.
I work with a range of mediums (oils, acrylics, inks, watercolour, gouache) and subjects (landscapes, flowers, animals, still life).
I started painting as a hobby, and to support my mental health, and I love that I can share my passion with others. I have been selling my work for a few years now, but recently gave up my day job to pursue my art career.
