Join this intimate creative resin art workshop in East Victoria Park and learn how to make a gorgeous colourful masterpiece with guidance from Shannan Whitby!
In this beginner-friendly class, you will learn how to use resin art to decorate a project of your choice. Work with gorgeous colours, patterns, and shapes to personalise your own unique design.
After your expert resin artist clearly demonstrates the process, she will then assist you with what colours to choose as well as mixing and pouring techniques, so don't worry if you have never tried resin art before!
You will experience the relaxing and satisfying benefits of this super fun art form and take home your own piece of resin art to impress your next party guests.
Note: Scaled pricing will reflect if guest count changes. As this workshop books the studio for half of the day, we have cleared all public classes before 3pm.
Workshop for more than 4 guests:
  • 4-6 guests: $145 per person
  • 6-10 guests: $130 per person
  • 11-plus guests: $115 per person
The workshop includes:
  • One demo for the entire group
  • One group creates a cheeseboard while the others have nibbles and drinks in the studio/gallery area, and then swap over.
  • The studio can be booked to accommodate the two separate sessions and the demo.
  • We can offer a discount for the booking based on the large numbers.
  • Each person is usually $130 per head, which includes a 50 x 30 cm cheeseboard and two coasters.
  • We will prepare two grazing boards with sweet and savoury items.
  • We will offer bottled water and sodas, a mixture of non-alcoholic and alcoholic sparkling wine, all inclusive.
Important: You will need to leave your resin pieces behind as they will need to be cured for 24-36 hours after the class. All artwork is cleaned up on the following Monday and collection can be arranged after this day.
Resin pick up notice: customer finished pieces that are not picked up within 3 months will be donated to charity. You can request to post your piece by choosing the relevant add-on at the payment page.
  • $25 National shipping: $20 postage + $5 packaging/handling
  • $20 Perth non-metro: $15 postage + $5 packaging/handling
  • $15 Perth Metro: $10 postage + $5 packaging/handling

Knowledge required
This is a beginner-friendly class.
Please note:
A full demonstration of your project will explain the products, project, and methodology by your teacher before you start your own masterpiece. The working time of resin is 30-40 minutes before the curing process starts, so working quickly and following instructions is required. Class time is 1.5 - 2 hours and may fluctuate depending on class size and time taken to choose colours, etc.
What to bring
Older clothes and enclosed shoes are recommended, as resin can get sticky and messy!

After excelling in art at Mercedes College, I was accepted to Edith Cowan University, studying Visual Arts, and later Business & Professional Accounting at Curtin University. After a 20-year career working and studying in bookkeeping & accounting until 2016, I began painting again and realized where my passion was.
The opportunity arose in December 2018 to open a children's art studio. I teach a wide range of skills and mediums to children while teaching correct techniques in a manner that can be adapted to different skill levels.
Working from my East Victoria Park studio, I offer resin art, pastels painting, alcohol inks, oil painting & other fluid & abstract workshops for adults.
I have been working with resin since 2018 and have exhibited some of my large-scale seascapes in December 2020 and sold many pieces to Western Australian clients & galleries.
I generally work in pastels for custom portraits and oils for my more contemporary style painting. I specialize in original commissioned custom portrait paintings and more contemporary stylistic, colorful works. I have always been an animal lover and have always been drawn to horses. Over the past years, I have worked hard to develop my own style of equine art.
