What you'll do
Searching for fun kids' activities in Perth for the school holidays? Ignite your child's creativity in this stimulating and engaging drawing class for kids from 8+ years of age! This class is perfect for beginners and young budding artists, whatever their experience level.
These classes are designed for kids wanting to learn or improve fundamental techniques in drawing using graphite, ink and charcoal.
Book into one or more of the following school holiday drawing classes (make sure to specifically select the date of the class you’re interested in).
Course overview:
Inspired by Luke Bren we will be drawing with ink pen on paper, we will be using the gridding method
Date: 13th December 2023
Time: 10:30am
Learn to work with graphite inspired by Ross Potter. We will be using comparative measuring and your ruler.
Date: 23rd December 2023 2024
Time: 10:30am
Drawing Manga inspired by Phoebe Stone while learning the gridding method using oil and chalk pastels on water colour paper. (various portraits to select from)
Date: 15th January 2024 or the 19th January 2024
Time: 10:30am
Using charcoal on the biography of William Kentridge. You will have a selection of drawings to choose from.
Date: 18th January 2024 or 24 January 2024
Time: 10:30am
Kids will learn a series of steps and principles that will allow them to grow as young artists harnessing their fine and gross motor skills while improving concentration and developing their creativity, imagination and social skills.
This drawing course is hosted by artist Karin who hopes to pass on her knowledge and enthusiasm to encourage each kid to be creative always!
Please note:
- All children must be signed in and out by a parent or authorised representative. The teacher will supervise until pick up.
- Studio doors will open five minutes before start of class.
