Self Portrait Doll Making Workshop

Create your best self in a doll version in Perth!

4 hours Class size 1 to 4

label $190 (or 4 payments of $47.50 Afterpay)

In this class, you'll have the opportunity to explore your creativity and bring your alter ego or best self to life as a 40cm fabric figure.

With the guidance of experienced textile artists, you'll discover how to transform ready-made filled fabric figures into a personalised representation of yourself.

During the workshop, you'll have the freedom to choose the hair colour, hairstyle, eye colour, fashion sense, and even include any little quirks that make you who you are. Using fabrics, threads, and other found materials, you'll dress and style your fabric persona to reflect your unique personality and style. Your portrait will hang on the wall with all your other favourite art.

The class will take place in a small group setting in an artist's studio, ensuring that you receive personalised attention and guidance throughout the process.

If you're new to soft sculpture or textile art, this workshop welcomes all adults. While some sewing or drawing is an advantage, we will guide you wherever you’re at. An experienced artist will be there to support and assist you every step of the way, making sure you feel comfortable and confident in your creative journey.

At the end of the workshop, you'll have a one-of-a-kind soft sculpture that captures your essence and can be proudly displayed or cherished as a personal memento.

Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 2 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we'll cancel the class; in this case we'll inform you and allow you to get a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class.
