Highly knowledgeable teacher, Marcia, took me through the basics of using and trouble shooting in my machine - threading the needle, winding the bobbin, stitch settings, tension, different feet and their uses etc. She gave me some ideas and direction for projects I was looking at doing too. It was in the shop, with good workshop set up, which was busier than usual on a Friday afternoon, but she got through everything and I was not in a rush.

I went back to sewing after many years. I needed confidence in using the sewing machine again. I attended the class to be around other people and have instructors. I enjoyed it very much. I found the staff especially friendly and accommodating. I thought it was going to be rigid but they were so lovely, allowing me to take my time, offer me drinks and helping me all the way. I learnt how to make a cell phone bag. I learnt new skills such as how to read instructions, measure, how to cut short a zipper and the use of mesh plus how to bind. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The materials were perfect. I would recommend the classes to anyone who love sewing.
