At Share a Wheel, we’ve turned the solitary art of the ceramic wheel into a collaborative team sport.
Forget sitting at separate stations across the room. We believe that getting your hands dirty is better when you’re doing it together. Whether you're a couple on a unique date night or best friends looking for a new hobby, this pottery class is designed for connection through creation.
How It Works
One wheel, two people, and endless possibilities. You and your partner will share a single station, rotating roles and supporting each other through every step of the process:
  • The Tag-Team Approach: Take turns at the wheel while your partner acts as the "Master Assistant"—prepping clay, checking symmetry, or helping you remember that crucial next step.
  • Four-Handed Throwing: Work simultaneously on a single piece. It’s a lesson in communication, patience, and shared vision (with a high probability of laughter when things get wobbly).
  • Social Learning: Pottery has a steep learning curve. By working together, you catch each other's mistakes and celebrate the wins as you watch your skills evolve from "lumpy bowl" to "handcrafted masterpiece."
Why "Share a Wheel"?
Pottery is traditionally a quiet, solo endeavour. We’ve flipped the script to create a high-energy, social atmosphere. It’s less about perfection and more about the process of helping one another. You’ll leave not just with a physical piece of art, but with a shared memory of something you built—quite literally—together.
Ready to get messy?
Whether you're total beginners or have some clay experience, we provide the wheel, the clay, and the guidance. You just bring the partner.
Our Share a Wheel workshop requires at least 3 couples on weekdays and 5 couples on weekends to cover our instructors and materials. If the workshop doesn't reach the minimums we will contact you asap to find a workshop that suits your schedule.
Workshop Booking & Quota Policy
This session is for two participants sharing one wheel. Please ensure you book for each person attending at $50 each.
Why We Have a No-Cancellation Policy
Behind every workshop is a lot of unseen love and labor. To cover the fixed costs that keep our studio running—including instructor pay, materials, class prep, scheduling, and admin organization—we are unable to offer cancellations or cash refunds once a spot is booked.
What Happens If a Class is Under-Enrolled?
Our workshops require a minimum number of participants to successfully run. If your selected date and time does not meet this quota, we will ask you to reschedule to a future session.
Your Booking Never Expires: If we have to shift your date, your booking turns into a permanent studio credit.
Finding Your Perfect Fit: There is no rush to reuse it. We will work closely with you to find a future workshop that perfectly matches your availability and has a confirmed group of makers ready to throw some clay!
What you'll get
- Elite Equipment: Work on top-tier, whisper-quiet professional wheels in a clean, modern, and high-ceiling studio.
  • Four-Handed Instruction: Expert guidance tailored for two people working in sync. We teach you the "support" roles just as much as the "throwing" roles.
  • The Signature Finish: Each partner chooses their best piece to be professionally fired and finished with our stunning white glaze.
  • Professional Firing: Your work is handled with care by our studio technicians and
fired in state-of-the-art kilns to ensure a durable, high-quality result. You can purchase any additional works for just $10 each.
