What you'll do
Create a custom pair of earrings and learn basic silversmithing skills in this hands-on workshop, at our studio in Pearl Beach. Walk away wearing your new creation as well as the satisfaction of making something yourself.
Your teacher will guide you to create something that suits your unique style. You can bring your own ideas or be guided on the day.
In this silversmithing workshop, you will learn a range of silversmithing skills including:
- Planning; designing your piece and measuring materials needed
- Metalworking skills including; sawing, filing, hammering, texturing, doming
- How to anneal metal, ball wire to create your own earring hooks, form jump rings or wire twist a bead to your final design
- Finishing skills including; sanding, polishing, buffing and using patina if desired.
You will use a range of tools to complete your project so be prepared to have fun and get creative. Classes are kept to small numbers so you get lots of attention and assistance.
Have fun with a group of friends or meet fellow creatives in a small group workshop as an individual student. If you’re looking for gift ideas, this unique workshop will impress your loved one, friend or family member.
Knowledge required
This is a beginner-friendly workshop. You can certainly develop skills for those that have previous experience.

Hi, I am Bren a Silversmith Artisan and Artist from Pearl Beach on the Central Coast of NSW.
I love the process of handcrafting unique pieces as well as sharing my knowledge and studio with others. My love affair with silversmithing began in 2020 ;) as I found myself with more time in the studio and wealth of processes that I adored.
