Candles create such a lovely atmosphere in your home and we can show you how  to make your own deliciously, fragranced soy candles for a fraction of the price in this three hour hands-on class.

We'll take you through the  process step by step so you can confidently create your own masterpieces at home. Whether you are a seasoned artisan or a budding enthusiast, this candle making course offers something for everyone interested in learning the craft of candle making.

You will learn how to make soy jar candles and blended pillar candles, as well as how to make your own templates so you can choose the correct wicks, colours, fragrances and moulds. The class includes one kilogram of soy wax, wick stickers and safety stickers.

This hands-on class will give you the confidence to make your soy candles, and allow your creativity to shine with the opportunity to create your own candle fragrance blend and colours.

We had an excellent time! The teacher was knowlagable, and happy to help when we had questions.

The location at Gasworks was a little difficult to find, but the teacher happily took our call and directed us.

The actual class was great too!!! We had so much fun choosing fragrances and getting the pour right!!

I think it was good value for money, especially given that we go to take home several candles and tealights that we’d made during the class. I was surprised by how well mine turned out!

I would have appreciated a slightly longer/more in-depth introduction to the chemistry and theoretical background before we started making (e.g. benefits of soy wax over other kinds, specific implications of using pure soy wax), but understandably we also needed enough time for actually making our candles.

Something I would have found helpful is a whiteboard or similar containing large print version of the key info we needed to keep referring back to during the class (the steps in making a candle starting with measuring the diameter of the jar; the amounts in grams of wax to fragrance for different candle sizes).

Great fun, highly organised & very informative. Frosa was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble for her and no question to silly. I would definitely recommend!
