What you'll do
Are you looking to expand your painting skills and make stunning artworks that you can hang in your home? Join Tatyana Soboleva's beginner-friendly still life painting course and learn tips and tricks from a friendly professional!
In this three-part course, you'll learn the foundational painting skills from Tatyana and get hands-on painting your very own still life masterpiece. You will learn about the process of creating a still life art piece, from observation to sketching, colour blending and more.
With guidance from your teacher, you'll learn about the importance of composition, mixing colours, the basic rules of highlights and shadows and how to create reflections to give your painting a realistic look. You will also learn to paint objects in different lighting conditions such as cold lighting and warm lighting and study how the shadows change colour.
Throughout this course, you will study the work of some of the greatest still-life artists from the 17th century to the present, and learn to replicate their work in your own unique artistic style.

From the time I was a student, my art was heavily influenced by the Russian greats including Repin, Serov, Korovin, as well as the European impressionists such as Degas, Renoir, Monet and Van Gogh.
