arrow_right_alt arrow_downwardA little bit of history, a whole lot of symbolism, and 78 cards full of possibilities. Tarot has been used for centuries as a tool for reflection, storytelling and divination, and there’s a reason it continues to capture our imaginations.
But let’s be honest: learning tarot can feel like trying to memorise an entire encyclopaedia while someone keeps throwing new symbols, astrological correspondences and seventeen different interpretations of The Fool at you.
The good news? You don’t need to memorise every card to get started.
In this 3.5-hour beginner-friendly workshop, we’ll break down the classic Rider-Waite-Smith tarot system and get you comfortable finding your way around the cards. We’ll explore the Major and Minor Arcana, unpack the symbolism and archetypes hiding in the imagery, and dip our toes into astrology, numerology and other useful tools for making sense of a reading.
Then we’ll put theory into practice with some fun, hands-on activities designed to get you thinking about the cards in new ways. We’ll explore how to lay out a reading, interpret the connections between cards, and finish up with practice readings together.
Whether you’re completely new to tarot, have a deck gathering dust on your bookshelf, or want to revisit the basics without getting lost down a rabbit hole of conflicting interpretations, this workshop will give you a solid foundation to build on.
Come curious, bring your questions, and leave ready to start making friends with your cards.
