I paint daily. My happy place is in my art studio. My creative practice is always evolving and taking me in new directions as I continue to learn. I am a curious, creative thinker and a creative problem solver. I look at life through a coloured creative lens — so many possibilities and endless wonders of the world.
Initially I did a Diploma in Production and Design, specialising in Costume Design and Construction at WAAPA. I absolutely loved this course. I then moved abroad for 14 years, living across multiple cultures and customs — broadening all of my 5 senses.
Later, I completed a Certificate IV in Visual Arts. After years following my own creative endeavours and learning many mediums, I went on to complete a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts. Although I went in to learn to paint traditionally, I found myself on a path of self-discovery instead — drawn more toward printmaking, artists books, and glass art. I see the value of making mistakes, and how they open doors in a profound and joyful way that flows through your art-making.
My one-day workshops at Fremantle Arts Centre (2021-2022) consistently sold out. Even then, before I had any formal coaching qualification, I was naturally coaching people through their fear — helping them move past "I'm not creative" and into trusting themselves enough to create, in whatever way that looked like for them that day.
It was only through my father's palliative stage of life that I returned to painting in a big way. It was a way of expressing my internal emotions, and I have continued since. I have also become certified as a mindset coach. Put all that together, and I am fully present as a creative intuitive coach and art mentor.
I bring both a trained artist's technical grounding and an intuitive, unstructured approach to how I work with people — so if you ever want to understand how something works, not just feel your way through it, I can teach that too.
I prefer an intuitive approach to any creative endeavour. I have a loose idea for what I want to share with participants, but it's up to the individual whether they follow that plan or trust their own instincts — or as I call it, trust your own intuition.
I work with people of all creative levels, whether a complete beginner or someone more experienced. I offer a way of being in present mode — stillness or engaging conversation, depending on the individual and what they want out of the time with me.
