Break free from barriers and reconnect with your creativity in this art class in Melbourne! Perfect for NDIS participants, carers, or anyone facing obstacles to starting the art making process.
We have individual sessions and specialised group workshops, all focused on:
  • Letting go of perfectionism – talk back to your inner critic and embrace self-expression.
  • Mindful creativity – unlock therapeutic benefits through the sensory experience and repetition.
  • Building confidence – gain resilience, explore new techniques, and take creative risks.
  • Focusing on the process – shift from outcomes to simply enjoying the flow of creation.
No experience needed - just bring yourself and a desire to explore. Reclaim the joy of making art!
Our sessions are informed by occupational therapy, counselling, art teaching, and career coaching. We're all about making art accessible to everyone and have flexible payment options for those unable to get on NDIS or who don't have funding available in their plan.
We operate out of the studios at Nunawading Community Hub but our art facilitator can travel within the East and South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

I'm Liz, an art facilitator from Kadia Occupational Therapy.
I work with OTs to help their clients reach their goals by getting creative in the studio. Sometimes occupational therapy can be a bit overwhelming and putting it into a different context can help!
I also run accessible art workshops and individual sessions that are all about finding the joy in art again and unlocking its therapeutic potential. As someone who has hugely benefited from using art as part of my own therapy, I believe that art is an essential method of self-expression that should be available to absolutely everyone. While my own preferred medium is oil painting, I work with a range of materials to unlock different sensory experiences. I am also trained in mindfulness and counselling techniques and while what I do is different from Art Therapy I have borrowed techniques and exercises developed from that space.
I'm especially passionate about helping people find the joy in art, with a positive and safe multi-sensory experience that is focused on their specific needs. My creative practice has evolved over years of teaching art in different contexts, learning from internationally awarded artists, and from time spent in Upolu, Samoa at EFKS Fine Art and as a guest tutor at the University of Samoa.
Certifications:
  • Bachelor of Fine Art at Monash University
  • Introduction to Art Therapy at Latrobe University
  • Art Therapy Practitioner course at Scholastico
  • Police Check
  • Working With Children's Check
  • NDIS Workers Clearance
