What you'll do
Looking for unique Perth activities? Come make a sign at our practical workshop in Carlisle.
The backing board will be made from a selection of timber we have available at the time usually Marri and jarrah. Signs will be roughly 500mm long and 300mm tall (depending on timber widths).
We'll start by selecting and sanding your timbers, laminating them together, then we'll laser cut your choice of words or logo from white acrylic in-house on our laser cutter, and then you attach it to your piece.
Return home with your completed handmade sign and the confidence to continue creating!
Knowledge required
Complete beginners welcome.
What you'll get
A handmade sign from a mix of timber and acrylic.
What to bring
- You need to wear enclosed shoes and bring a water bottle.
- If you have long hair it needs to be tied back for the class.
- We can provide safety glasses and hearing protection but if you have some you prefer please bring them along.

We are a business made up of Rosie, a high school carpentry, metalwork and jewellery teacher and
Renee, a kindergarten and art teacher.
Before teaching, we worked in theatre and film and props and scenery makers for companies like Disney and Cirque Du Soleil.
We offer classes for all ages based in Carlisle WA in a variety of art forms.
