2 hours Location Cloverdale Class size 1 to 2 guests   $190 (Afterpay available)

Unleash your inner artist and create beautiful ceramics by joining Ceramics by Hannah and Belmont Potters Group's private wheel throwing class in Belmont! Perfect for couples/friends/family.
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the art of throwing your own creations and choose which colours you'd like your pieces to be glazed.
During our class, you will discover the fun of working with clay and learn step-by-step processes of transforming it into beautiful and functional ceramics. Whether you’ve never touched clay before or have dabbled in ceramics, Hannah will guide you through the techniques and provide personalised instruction to ensure you feel confident.
At the end of the workshop, after your pieces have been fired, you'll have a collection of finished work that you can proudly display or give as heartfelt gifts to loved ones. Imagine the joy of showcasing your handcrafted bowls, vases, or cups in your home, knowing that you created them with your own two hands.
Pieces will be ready for collection 8+ weeks after your class, this may be longer with the Christmas break coming up. All pieces must be collected within 3 months of notification or they will be discarded, unless other arrangements have been made.
So, if you're ready to tap into your artistic side, join us for this relaxing wheel throwing class in Perth!

  • 5/5 from Marf May, attended Oct 2026: Had so much fun being guided by Hannah how to use the wheel. She was really helpful and fun. We both made 4 items!
  • 5/5 from Muriel Lopes Abdalla, attended Oct 2026: Had such a lovely time at Hannah’s ceramic class! She was friendly, patient, and really helpful throughout. We each made four pieces and really enjoyed the experience. It was so relaxing, and I’d happily come back again!
  • 4/5 from Kaycee, attended Sep 2026: I really enjoyed this pottery class! Hannah, our teacher, was so lovely — she was helpful, knowledgeable, and really fun to talk to. She made the class feel relaxed and welcoming, which was especially nice for beginners. We made four pieces in total. The first was either a cup or a bowl, and for the other three pieces we were able to choose what we wanted to make using the beginner techniques we had been taught. I particularly liked how Hannah gave us plenty of freedom to experiment and be creative. I never felt pressured to make something perfect, and it was fun being able to try out different ideas. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to try pottery for the first time!
  • 5/5 from Jeremy Buxton, attended May 2026: Hannah did a fantastic job at creating a fun, relaxing and educational experience for my partner and I. We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend this experience to others wanting to try pottery wheel throwing.
  • 5/5 from Damen Aeevers, attended May 2026: I booked the private class for the occasion of my wife’s 50th birthday with Hannah. My hope was for fun rather than acquiring skills etc. The class considerably exceeded what I was wanting in both respects. Hannah is a very competent teacher in the best sense, has a wonderful sense of humour and her calm temperament adds substantially to the experience given we were engaging in a completely new activity. I cannot think of any suggestion, no matter how minor, for how Hannah conducts the class – and for people who know me that is a minor miracle. I am extremely grateful for an experience that was thoroughly enjoyable for me and more importantly my wife. Thank you so much Hannah, you do not quite know what you achieved.
