5.0 (11)Located in Sassafras in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges, our artist run gallery features rotating exhibitions, giftshop and workshop space.
We have a large community of talented painters, potters, sculptors, jewellers and printmakers who deliver fine art based workshops for up to 8 students, just steps away to the forest and sassafras village shops. Onsite carparking and bus stop at front gate allows easy access including flat ground for disability access.

Loved this workshop! Mary-Lin was very helpful with ideas and techniques and encouraged us to find our style! It was great to play around with colour and various tools that were available to try different, expressive mark making! Great, inspiring venue!

Mum and I loved this workshop!
Debra was friendly and helped us to create a beautiful dried floral dome to take home.

This is a fun activity to do with a bunch of friends. We had a great time building our preserved flower domes and we walked away with beautiful objects to remind us of the day. Debra was amazing, she guided us all the way through the workshop and supported us with our vision for our dome. She knew how to give just the right amount of instruction to let our individual creativity shine. All participants built such unique but equally gorgeous domes. There was a huge range of preserved plants available for use and Debra was extremely generous to let us have a free pick from the lot. Extremely good value for what you achieve at the end. Highly recommended

Jacqui was patient and helpful. She has a great energy and I felt comfortable to ask questions.
I can be quite rigid when it comes to undertaking any task but the class was a great way to unwind and to try not to overthink (even if I did over think some aspects of the creative process, but Jacqui helped unblock me haha). I case I had a lovely day.
The class is held outdoors so if you’re going on a hot day pack some sunscreen (the panting area is undercover but you may still get a little sun).
I learned some new techniques and will definitely have a go at doing them myself from home.

We really enjoyed this experience. Located in the stunning Sassafras we started the day with a light icebreaker to meet one another and then head off on a little (easy) walk into the forest to bathe in our surroundings to prepare for our painting experience. Teacher was lighthearted and there to help along the way guiding us well through each step. All materials needed provided aside from having to bring your apron which was no worries at all. It was a lovely experience and a great way to reignite a passion for painting or to dip your toes in and learn some new skills to paint something expressive even if you are a complete beginner.

Fantastic workshop. I learnt so much. Beautiful spot and it was great to walk and be inspired by the forest and natural surroundings. Jacqui is a very talented artist and teacher. I will be back for another workshop!

Had a great day in the workshop with Jacqui. It was so useful and learned heaps of tips. The day flowed so well and was perfectly spaced. I feel super confident in practicing at home now and will definitely be doing my own forest bathing inspired work on my own
