What you'll do
Join this sculpture class with a difference! We will take things that you might have considered ‘trash’ or ‘junk’ and make them into a creature with its own personality and ideas about who they want to be.
This course will cover:
- Make an original artwork
- Learn joining techniques and tips with a variety of materials
- Understand balance and weight as key concepts in sculpture
- Use two paint techniques to develop the surface and character of your critter
- Add detail to make a cohesive image
You find that these characters give themselves a name at some stage, usually when you give them eyes. Sometimes they tell you have forgotten something - like wings or a crest. Sometimes they demand bling! It’s always fun to see how they see themselves.
Knowledge required
Beginner-friendly class, also suitable for experienced sculptors too.
