What you'll do
Are you interested in learning how to paint with watercolours? Join this Woodridge workshop to learn plenty of helpful techniques for watercolour painting and make your own rendering of a bumble bee.
Your teacher for this watercolour class is Sue Battis, an established artist who shows her work in galleries. Sue will guide you through the process of working with watercolours by giving you step-by-step instructions on how to paint your own realistic bumble bee using a reference photo.
You will learn how to layer colours to achieve a dark colour, how to use a wax pencil for retaining highlights, and how to replicate the delicate texture of the wings. You will also learn how to best use the materials provided while sharing a few relaxing hours with other creative people.
This class size is purposefully kept small (capped at 10 students) to allow for plenty of one-on-one attention for every student. All the materials you need will be provided, and this class is beginner-friendly.
At the end of the class, you will take away your own painting masterpiece ready to display in your home with pride!
