NOTE: This specialist workshop is designed for those who have attended our beginner workshop and want to have a crack at something...bigger!
Have you tried your hand at pyrography and want to get serious about your burning experience? Are you looking for something a bit more than the standard small board? This wood burning workshop will get more detailed still, and allow for a bigger work to be completed - which will surely impress all lucky folk who catch a glance.
This workshop explores the intricacies of pyrography, which includes:
- Equipment suitability
- How to choose a quality wood and prepare it
- Key safety tips
- Different nibs and their uses
- Refined burning techniques
- How to finish your work so your wood lasts!
This small group workshop is designed to stoke the joy of art making, and to refine your skills of a medium that is not so traditional anymore.
Knowledge required
Our workshop is beginner-friendly and is also catered for those who aren't so "free-hand friendly."
What you'll get
- A pre-sanded slab of Australian timber to create your beautiful work of pyrography art up to A3 size.
- Complimentary tea/coffee and nibbles.

What to bring
IMPORTANT: Please ensure you bring a black and white, printed A3 design that you’d like to create in our session. It could be a photo of your pet, a piece of text, a portrait of a family member - anything that brings you happiness!
