Pulse Art Studios was founded by a Swiss pattern maker and engineer Nis Wichterman in 2001. Nis moved from Switzerland to Perth and wanted to dive into the creative side of woodworking. Being trained in Tibetan pulsing, he started teaching wooden lyre making classes at the Perth Waldorf Steiner school. Over the last two decades, Nis has shared his love and passion for wood and music with thousands of people, teaching them how to carve a piece of wood into a musical instrument. Nis also teaches carving, and spoon making workshops at his oasis studio in Spearwood.
