It was love at first sight the day I stepped into the textiles studio at uni, and since then, I never really stopped weaving. I weave using natural fibers to create bold, rhythmic flow through repetition and texture.
Actively involved in local arts and sustainability communities, I aim to slow life down, staying grounded in a mindful, contemplative approach to my work.
“Each piece of fabric tells a story, starting with every yarn that passes through my fingers and is threaded onto a loom to create cloth. I embrace modern and traditional techniques to craft cloth with purpose.”
I’m committed to preserving lost trades, fostering individuality, and inspiring cultural change while resisting mass consumerism.
I teach the art of creating pieces using natural and upcycled fibers, emphasizing environmentally respectful practices in every work.
Through my practice and teaching, I strive to inspire learners to think critically, honor traditional skills, and create with intention. Rooted in the traditions of handmade cultures and the enduring value of hand skills, my work promotes mindfulness, sustainability, community, and lifelong learning.
