This class is held regularly in person in Alstonville Byron Bay hinterland on Saturday mornings 10-12pm.

This is a true introduction to crochet—focused on learning the foundations, not rushing to a finished outcome.
In this class, we’ll take our time to explore how crochet works. You’ll learn how to hold and manipulate the hook and yarn, how to create a chain, and how stitches begin to form. We’ll also introduce the basic structure of a granny square, including corners and sides, so you can start to understand how the shape comes together.
This is a fundamentals session, everyone progresses at their own pace and there is no set outcome to achieve. Crochet is a skill that develops with practice, and this class is about building familiarity, confidence, and muscle memory rather than perfection or speed.
This workshop is ideal if you:
Have never crocheted before
Want a slow, supportive introduction
Prefer learning through doing and repetition
