In this friendly and welcoming introduction to crochet, you’ll discover the joy of creating your own beautiful granny squares with your personal tutor, Sarah.
Learn the basics of crochet, including how to hold the hook, basic stitches (slip knot, chain, double crochet), cornering and how to read a pattern, weave in ends and change yarn colours.
If you’re new to crochet, don’t worry! Your patient instructor will guide you every step of the way, boosting your confidence and inspiring your creativity. As you work on your granny square, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment and pride with each stitch completed.
At the end of the activity, you’ll have your first gorgeous granny square to take home, a tangible reminder of your newfound skills and the therapeutic power of crochet. You will also receive a take-home kit including a pattern and stitch guide. Your instructor will also advise on a series of options for creating your first project using granny squares.
Classes are held at my studio in the cafe area and include a hot beverage of your choice from the cafe menu. You will also receive an invitation to the 'stitch and chai' social knit and crochet club held every Saturday to meet like-minded creatives and work on your project.
