Your teacher
Shirley Wu is a multiple award winning emerging artist who has her studio located at the Fleurieu Arthouse in the winery region of McLaren Vale, Adelaide. Inspired by holistic therapy from my previous training in Hong Kong, I have a strong interest in how the creative process generates healing in mental health through meditative making and sensory experience. My practice crosses contermporary jewellery and sculptural object making by using glass, silicone, stone, ceramic, metal and other materials, through lampwoking, moulding and casting, metalsmithing and stone caving techniques.
