What you'll do
Celebrate 40 years of Jurlique with this special seasonal jewellery workshop.Facilitated by artist Shirley Wu and Jurlique Farm in the Adelaide Hills, this immersive experience is designed to reconnect you with nature through a rich multi-sensory journey. It begins with a 30-minute guided express tour of the Jurlique biodynamic Herb Farm, where you’ll learn about Jurlique’s history, their signature rose, and biodynamic farming practices. You’ll have the opportunity to handpick a small collection of botanical materials that inspire you.Back in the workshop space, enjoy a warm, freshly brewed botanical tea, harvested directly from the Jurlique garden, as part of this grounding sensory experience.Next, you’ll learn how to transform your gathered botanicals into silver jewellery using silicone moulding techniques and silver clay casting. Create a pendant or a pair of earrings as a wearable memory of your time on the farm.Your finished piece will be kiln-fired and polished at Shirley’s CBD studio and will be available for pickup or postage afterward.

Shirley Wu is an award-winning artist based in Adelaide, specialising in jewellery, glass art, and commissioned pieces. She has years of experience working with metal and glass, and has been leading jewellery workshops for three years, helping participants of all skill levels create unique, meaningful pieces.Shirley’s workshops are fun, hands-on, and beginner-friendly with clear instructions, designed to help participants bring their ideas to life through silver-clay and contemporary jewellery-making techniques. Whether you’re looking to learn a new skill, create a one-of-a-kind jewellery piece, or explore the artistry of metal and glass, Shirley provides a supportive and engaging space for creative expression.Shirley’s artistic practice explores transmigratory experiences, holistic healing, and meditative processes. Her art practice spans jewellery, installation, performance, video, and audio, often reflecting on her upbringing in a traditional Chinese patriarchal family and her evolving feminist awareness as an Asian immigrant.Shirley holds a Master of Design (Contemporary Art) from the University of South Australia and a Bachelor of Arts in Jewellery & Accessories from Middlesex University, England. She is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Adelaide Fringe Best Workshop & Talk Award (2025), Pilchuck Glass School Scholarship (2024), and Brighton Jetty Emerging Artist Award (2022). She was also a finalist for the Fuse Glass Prize (2022) and the MilanoVetro-35 (2020).
