Tania has been drawing since she was a little girl. Always dragging around a bag of coloured pencils and paper.

As an adult, she completed a Diploma in Art Education and then Fashion Design. After a successful career in both, she is now a qualified art teacher and practising botanical artist. Tania's amazing botanical art is all hand-drawn with a fountain pen and the blackest ink on archival rag paper.

Tania loves sharing her creative botanical passion with others. It doesn't matter if you have never picked up a pencil before or if you already have some drawing skills - Tania's classes are perfect for anyone who wants to share in the joy, fun and delight of learning to draw botanical flora.

Fabulous teacher, supplied great resources, managed the different personalities and confidence levels of the group really well. A very enjoyable afternoon that has encouraged and inspired me to be more creative.

Maria Herman Feb 2022

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the class and the instructor. Hours later we commented to each other on how much we learned and how much fun we had. We haven’t thought about drawing and art for years and now we’re talking about buying pads and pencils. We were supplied w everything we needed from water colors, water color pens, brushes, paper, plus a take home folder w many pages outlining the steps we were given to achieve various techniques. The 3 hours were well planned and yet everyone was encouraged to move at their own speed. The instructor was patient and considerate, and all safety guidelines for Covid were adhered to. I would recommend the class to anyone who’d like to learn more about water color, or even just wanted a break for 3 hours. It was calming and supportive, and provided a welcome vehicle to reconnect w one’s creative spirit.

I had recently been to another 'art' class which was terrible (teacher and materials) so I was a bit nervous about attending this one. Miss Daymond's class and teaching was superb - I couldn't fault a thing. She is both highly skilled at running an adult education class as well as being an experienced and inspiring artist who provided quality art materials for the students to work with. She is also the first person I've come across who's done an acknowledgment of the traditional owners of the land at the beginning of the day- well done! I will certainly be back for more of her classes and hope that other ClassBento offerings I might try will be as good as this one. Thanks.

What a fabulous & relaxing morning. Tania is fantastic. I really enjoyed her demos, & loved my take home folder of templates & techniques learnt. I feel more confident & comfortable to have a go myself. My favourite tools were the watercolour pencils & the ink art. A very relaxing morning. Thank you Tania!

it was okay. I feel this workshop is really expansive, and there wasn't even a nice piece of artwork of your own can be taken back home at the end. Not really worth it for me.

Reply from this teacher:

Hi Xin

I am so disappointed that you did not enjoy the workshop. I think perhaps you have misunderstood the two part workshop day and hope my explanation below helps with that.

You enrolled in the morning session 10-1pm which is based on fun exercises that are structured to teach all the beginner watercolor techniques using watercolor paints, pencils and ink. To complete the morning you are provided with extra templates in your kit to take home and explore the new techniques you have learned in follow up exercises in the comfort of your own home.

The afternoon session 1-4pm is where you create your single artwork based on native flora using all the techniques you learned in the morning - this is where you create your own artwork to take home with you.

The reason for the two parts is that sometimes the morning session is enough for absolute beginners to learn all the techniques.

For those wanting to perfect their new skills then they stay on for the afternoon session. To create a lovely piece of artwork to take home is only perfected in the afternoon session and not the morning session.

As you enrolled in the morning session you did not have the time or opportunity to develop your lovely artwork in the afternoon.

I take your feedback very seriously and will address the misunderstanding with the ClassBento team to see if we can make the two sessions clearer in their description.

You are very welcome to attend any afternoon session to finish the learning you started and to create you very own artwork to take home with you.

Wish you well
