What you'll do
Learn to create beautiful buttercream succulents and pipe six different cupcake designs in Canberra.Don't worry if you're a beginner, this class is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all skill levels. Lesley will provide step-by-step instructions and tips to help you feel confident and comfortable throughout the process.During the workshop, you'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of materials, including meringue buttercream, piping bags, and different piping tips. Lesley will demonstrate the proper techniques for filling piping bags and using the piping tips to achieve different design effects. You'll also learn how to colour your buttercream with precision, allowing you to create vibrant and eye-catching cupcakes.At the end of the class, you'll be able to take home all the recipes and step-by-step notes with photos to continue cake decorating at home. You'll also have a box of six beautifully decorated cupcakes to take home and impress your friends and family.Please note:
- With notice, we can cater to gluten-free dietary requirements.
- Children aged 10 or over are welcome to attend. If a parent would like to accompany their child, a separate class place must be purchased.

Your teacher
Lesley is the owner and operator of For Heaven's Cake, based in Coogee. Although working in finance for much of her professional life, Lesley had always had a passion for baking. Fifteen years ago she decided to take the plunge and change careers, training in Baking and Pastry at Sydney TAFE. Whilst attending this course, Lesley discovered a love of cake decorating, which led to her starting her own business producing celebration cakes, cupcakes and cookies. Lesley is happy to share her passion with students and looks forward to welcoming you all to class!
