Sometimes you don’t need another class. You just need somewhere to sit down, make things, and actually work on that project you have been meaning to finish.
Our Open Studio Sessions are relaxed, low-cost creative co-working sessions where you can bring along your own project and materials, settle into the studio, and spend a few uninterrupted hours making alongside other creative people.
There’s no set project and no formal instruction; just a welcoming studio, good company, and time to make.
These sessions are designed to be welcoming whether you are an experienced maker or someone who simply wants to start making again.
You don’t have to be “good at art.” You don’t need a finished plan. You don’t even need to be particularly productive.
Choose your session:
- Midweek daytime studio – A slower daytime session for those who like to create during the daylight hours. Bring your project, grab a cuppa, and enjoy a few hours of uninterrupted creative time.
- Midweek evening studio – Clock off, come to the studio, and swap your workday for making time. A relaxed evening of independent creativity with like-minded makers.
Please note: This class requires at least 5 students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class, fully refund you, and inform you via email, so please watch your email a few days prior to the class.

What to bring
Anything suitable for a shared creative studio environment – painting, drawing, illustration, sewing, embroidery, crochet, paper craft, journalling, collage, miniature making, and more.
Please bring your own materials and check with us beforehand if you’re working with anything particularly messy, hazardous, strongly scented, or requiring specialist equipment.
You are also welcome to bring snacks and drinks.

We collaborate with local artists and industry experts to teach classes and utilise local suppliers for any materials needed. We also provide a creative environment for emerging artists to produce and sell work, and meet like minded individuals. Work-Shop will be a space for everyone, with a rotating schedule of art shows, information nights on local issues and a whole range of events and community initiatives.
