Location 1 is inside Bustle aka Hustle studios in Surry Hills ( Level 1, 457-459 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills (1 block from Central Station or street parking after 12;30pm on Sat and 6pm on Mon-Fri) location # 2 is in Club Parramatta 2 Macquarie Street, Parramatta. It's a 6 min walk from Parramatta station.(Free Venue parking for students) Location #3 Is The Melbourne Hotel. 600 little Bourke St. Melbourne CBD. Courses are held in Parramatta on Weekdays and Weekends. In Surry Hills courses are held on Weekdays and Weekends (Afternoons and Evenings), in Melbourne, courses are held Sun-Thur evenings from 6:30pm-9:30pm. Note: Graduation Dinner Shows are held on Wednesday or Thursday Nights 7:30pm.

Q: Who are the instructors and how much experience do they have?
A: The main instructor is the founder of the school, Donte D1, born in Las Vegas Nevada, he has been performing stand-up comedy since the age of 14 1/2, he has over 50 years' experience in the USA and Australia and is the author of several books (including 2 books on stand up comedy and fringe and comedy festival how to. He has worked and performed with Jean Kittson, Anh Do, The Late and great Jeannie Little, Pauly Fenech (fat pizza) and Constantino to name a few. As an actor, he's had roles in The Matrix Reloaded and Fat Pizza vs Housos Movies plus appearances on TV Shows, Getaway, Recovery, Disney, Comedy Inc, The Big Breakfast and Generation 7. (see photos on our About Us page). This course will also include 1 or 2 special guest instructors that are comics and/or industry promoters. Due to their ever-changing schedules, we'll announce closer to class start date who they are. The founder has been training students in Australia from 2010 to 2023. His former school (Aus School of Stand-up Comedy) by 2018, was the largest Stand-up Comedy School in Australia with locations in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth, and Brisbane. He has trained over 1600 students across Australia, with some graduates going on to start their own comedy schools, such as Sydney Comedy School and School of Hard Knock Knocks, while other students have gone on to become guest instructors at schools across the country. He has over 50 years of experience in the USA (Las Vegas, San Francisco, Los Angeles) and Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth Festivals) both as a show promoter and as a stand-up comic performer. His 2017 Adelaide Fringe Show "10 Comics International Laugh-a-Thon show" was voted a "Must See" by BankSA. His graduates have performed in AGT and have made the top 5 finalists in the Raw Comedy finals on TV. His graduates have also performed on Amazon Prime TV (LOL) as well as in every Fringe and Comedy Festival across Australia. He started the Las Vegas International Comedy School in 2026, primarily focusing on training local comics to perform on international stages and the ins and outs of creating, promoting, and selling their own Fringe and Comedy Festival shows. He also created a course just for new open mic comics on the scene. From 2008 till lockdown, he ran the longest consecutively running comedy club in Sydney. His club was the only club selected by Mastercard to participate in their National Priceless campaign and was the winner of The Pride of Workmanship award from Rotary Clubs Australia. The founder "Donte" is also the author of several books including "So you wanna be a Stand-up Comic?-15 things to know before and during" and "How not to lose money with your Fringe and Comedy Festival shows."
